Rachel Egboro Ojo is an experienced storyteller, facilitator and convener. Driven by her curiosity for people and their journeys, Rachel takes pride in providing the best communication strategy possible. As a Director of Engagement & Communications, she works consistently on sharpening and unifying Ilékún Wa’s brand voice, online & offline artist engagement and enhancing overall narratives for Black artists.
For over 10 years, Rachel has been a noteworthy leader in the storytelling space. You may know her from her work as the director and founder of The Whole Story, but Rachel can also be credited with contributions to various communication strategies for nonprofit, faith, business and government organizations.
Rachel’s work to expand Black narratives has been honored with several awards and recognitions including the 2020 Storytelling Show of the year by the Phoenix New Times and the 2018 Rising Star Award by Arizona Humanities. Rachel was also recognized as a 40 under 40 by the Phoenix Business Journal and the Greater Phoenix Urban League. She holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Arizona and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys exploring new cities and cuisines with her husband, Jeremiah.
